This time I talked with Spencer Smith and Mark Penta about their book Young Jesus Chronicles, a collection of newspaper-style one-panel cartoons about the childhood and youth of Jesus of Nazareth. When I first saw some of the cartoons in this book, I was so struck by the charm and lightheartedness with which they approach the often overly serious topic of religion, I knew I had to speak with the authors. So, on The Big Idea, we talked about faith, humor and the phenomenon that is Young Jesus Chronicles. Apologies for the poor sound quality of the telephone audio.
